Happy New Year to all our members and friends of the club. We hope you all had a good break with some ever important rest and relaxation time. January has already started with some strong competition and some excellent performances by our athletes so do read on for our recap of everything that’s happened since last year!

Crown to Crown

On Boxing Day six of our Beagles attended the annual Boxing Day 5K Crown to Crown event. Always a popular occasion with an ever challenging course and some great competitive spirit. The Beagles were led home by Olivia Forrest who finished as first female in a time of 19:36. Isabel Forrest finished second female in 21:07 with Evie Warn ensuring a clean sweep of the female podium in 22:33. Mara Thomas finished as fourth woman in 22:58 and Esme Thomas sixth woman in 24:o4. Well done to all – a dominant Beagles performance!

New Years Lee Valley

Several of our Beagles travelled to Lee Valley to take part in the indoors New Years Event on January 2nd. A great opportunity to put down a benchmark for the start of 2023 and get in some valuable indoors experience ahead of the upcoming SEAA, London and Essex championship events.
