BRENTWOOD BEAGLES FACILITIES

GENERAL

We partner with Brentwood School for use of their track and field facilities. Please remember, we all take responsibility to ensure that access to these exceptional facilities is not abused!  Our track was used as a training facility for visiting Olympic athletes during the 2012 London Olympic Games.

PARKING

IMPORTANT. As we share parking for the track and field facilities with other users of the School and the Sports Centre, it is important that we do what we can to reduce the parking burden at the site. There are a number of car parks in the Brentwood area but we always advise that members should car share, arrive on foot/bicycle or if using ‘Mum/Dad’s Taxi’ or similar, please ‘drop and go’ wherever possible.

ALL-WEATHER TRACK

The 6 lane, 400m all weather track is located behind the Brentwood School Sports Centre, Middleton Hall Lane, Brentwood. CM15 8EE.

The club has full and exclusive use of the track for club sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30pm until 9.00pm.

The club also has exclusive use of the track for club sessions on Sunday from 10:30am until 12.30pm (TBC)

Access to these club sessions and to individual and group coaching comes as part of the club membership subscription but depending on which membership model you signed up for, track fees may also be required when attending each session. These can be paid up front with your membership fees, pay as you go contactless, or via bank transfer. We would prefer not to accept cash at track sessions.

COUNTRYSIDE

Brentwood is located in the beautiful countryside of Essex and right on our doorstep we have the exceptional hills and trails of Weald Country Park.

It can only be expected therefore that the club makes maximum use of the town’s location to train on the Weald and along the associated trails. Further off-track training sessions are supported at One Tree Hill, Westley Heights and Gloucester Park in Basildon and occasionally at Thames Chase near Upminster.

In the summer evenings and at weekends there are many training sessions taking place in the countryside.

CLUB BASE

The club has its main meeting point next to the 400m running track located over the road from Brentwood School Sports Centre on Middleton Hall Lane, Brentwood. CM15 8EE.

INDOOR FACILITIES

BBAC has access to a range of indoor training facilities that will be available to club members (as of the initial stages of the club opening, we are still finalising access to these facilities so please keep this in mind).

We will also be establishing suitable indoor facilities for circuit training during the winter months.

During the winter months, from time to time indoor space at facilities such as Lee Valley Athletics Centre will be booked for training sessions and additional facilities will be booked for circuit work aimed at core stability and strength development.

The training tab on this website will set out times for the use of any indoor facilities during the winter months.

PLEASE NOTE

Use of our facilities is only permitted subject to attendance and in some cases supervision by a suitably licensed athletics coach.
