FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR ATHLETES
WE WANT YOU TO BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE!
Financial assistance will be available to support athletes suffering genuine hardship. Brentwood Beagles encourage as much participation in the sport of athletics as possible. The Club does not want anybody suffering significant financial hardship to be prevented from participation in our sport. To this end, a hardship fund has been established in order to cover the costs of items such as membership fees, Brentwood Beagles competition vests, competition fees etc.
We also operate a ‘kit exchange’ and secondhand clothing evenings to ensure an active ‘circular economy’ regarding training shoes, vests and other sports kit. We have put this in place to further ease any financial burden.
Each application for financial assistance will be dealt with individually on an ‘in-confidence’ basis. If you want to speak to someone about the help available from the club please contact membership@beagles.org.uk for a confidential conversation.
In addition there are numerous organisations that provide grants, funding and financial assistance. Whilst the criteria and amounts available often vary, below is a list of the more established sources of funding:
