April has been a Marathon month of activity with athletes taking on new challenges, new events and reaching new personal goals.
Training
The start of April has seen us welcome both the Spring and many new Beagles to the club as well as lighter nights in which to train.
We hope you have been having a great December and a lovely rest over Christmas and that you are gearing up for another year of athletics!
It’s been a disappointing week with several outdoor races and many parkruns cancelled through poor weather. Fortunately indoors were still on and the prior week saw another exciting Essex league cross country took place last week with yet more brilliant Beagles performances.
The last fortnight has seen the end of the track season with some great performances for our athletes across a range of events.
We hope that you have been enjoying all the athletics on show over the last couple of weeks at the Olympics and that the occasion has inspired your athletes to dream of future success
Our final Essex XC of the season last weekend: 3 individual winners, and 3 third places as well as one winning team and one 2nd place.
This week, lots of indoor action with the minithon featuring Sir Mo Farah and a BFTTA taking place across at Lee Valley.
After last week’s quiet week – the Beagles were out in force this week with appearances at events from Lee Valley to Valencia.
